Today is my wonderful husband's birthday. Unfortunately we cannot spend it together this year. In fact we have not been able to spend his birthday together in the last four years. However that is not the point. The point is I am grateful he was born. He is the most wonderful person and the best thing in my life. He takes care of me, watches out for me, and inspires me. He lets me be myself; in fact he encourages me to spread my wings and challenges me to not only fly, but to soar.
He gave me not only himself but also a wonderful family to be a part of. I am amazed at how they have embraced me and made me part of them. I now have an awesome mother-in-law, inspiring father-in-law, and the coolest brother-in-law; with a marvelous fiance and the swe

If it were, our marriage would never work. I do not do things for him just to make up for all he gives me; I do them because I love him and I want him to be happy. I know it is the same for him.
Today I celebrate his birthday by myself but not alone; and pray that next year we will celebrate together.
